The newest Windows product from Microsoft has seen widespread implementation by companies and consumers alike. After Windows 8 was deployed, corporations hopped on board with the new software and saw significant results in the process. According to a Microsoft case study, Windows 8's mobile feature helped an information technology solution provider boost its hardware sales by 25 percent. The company estimates its Windows 8 adoption will continue to produce increased revenue. With the upcoming launch of Windows 8.1, companies may want to invest in the new Windows if they have not already done so. Companies should think about utilizing computer based training after adopting Windows 8 to ensure users can use all of the enhanced features, resulting in heightened performance and results for the business.  Technology Leads to New Markets  New Signature provides creative IT services and cloud computing to customers and was ready to implement Windows 8 right when it came on the scene. According to Microsoft, the company installed the new system on all of its workstations and laptops and immediately noticed results. Windows 8 allowed New Signature to communicate with customers across its online platform. The company loved the new system so much that it decided to develop its own Windows Store app.  For Christopher Hertz, CEO of New Signature, the key to their success with the system was investing in training early on during their Windows 8 adoption. Hertz said users were able to apply their in-house skills to Windows 8 soon after investing in training materials. Doing so opened new doors for the company, such as getting into app development.  "From an app development standpoint, Windows 8 provides an unlimited opportunity and I can see our business growing from 30 to 70 percent Windows Store apps development in the near future," Hertz said.  The case study said Windows 8 allowed New Signature's customers to become more productive and for the company to move into additional markets. Because the software allows users to employ portable devices, Hertz said their clients were able to take their projects on the road, leading to rapid business development. According to ZD Net, analyst firm Gartner recommended companies to deploy the newest Windows to boost customer engagement and take advantage of new and improved features, such as the mobile computing. The portability of Windows 8 allowed New Signature to see increased sales, and companies can follow New Signature's lead by doing. After investing in the latest version of Windows, it may be a good idea for companies to pursue end user training software to ensure all workers can operate the system with confidence.
