Four Themes That Will Change the Way You See Office Apps

Change is a constant in life. You change your hair, your socks, and thank goodness you change the cat’s litter box. With all the change in your life, it just doesn’t seem fair to be stuck with one theme for an entire suite of programs. So in Office 2016, you can choose from Colorful, Black, Dark Gray, and White themes. **

To change the background color and design of all your Office programs, from any open Office program, click File. Then click Account and select the drop down menu next to Office Theme. (Or, for another route, go to File > Options > General > Office Theme).

While change is inevitable, it is difficult to actually make an informed decision. Fear not! We’re here to help.

  • Colorful Theme.
The colorful theme displays the ribbon in the primary color assigned to the specific Office app.

  • Colorful Theme in PowerPoint 2016:

  • Dark Gray Theme.
The dark gray theme is perfect for those who prefer to soften visuals in Office apps. This theme makes viewing your screen easier on your eyes.

  • Black Theme.
The Black theme takes the Dark Gray Theme one step further. If grey is easy on the eyes, black is like a vacation. This theme can limit eye strain on those particularly long days spent in front of the screen. **

  • White Theme.
The white theme displays the classic look of Office. So when you’re feeling nostalgic take a walk down memory lane. No color, no nonsense, just the program we’ve all become familiar with in the past.

Embrace change. Choose a theme and alter your Office 2016 experience.
