OUTSIDE MAGAZINE NAMES BRAINSTORM, INC. AS ONE OF AMERICA’S BEST PLACES TO WORK IN 2013

BrainStorm Ranked Lucky Number 13, Two Years Running

Outside's Best Places to Work 2012

Salt Lake City, UT August 1st 2013 – BrainStorm, Inc. today was named to Outside Magazine’s sixth annual “Best Places to Work” list. BrainStorm was ranked No. 13 out of 100 selected companies for the second time in two years. The full list of the top-ten-performing small, medium, and large companies will be published online on August 1 at OutsideOnline.com/bestplacestowork.

Outside’s “Best Places to Work” project celebrates the innovative companies setting a new standard for a healthy work-life balance. The list was compiled with the help of the Outdoor Industry Association and Best Companies Group. The yearlong selection process began with an outreach effort that identified a wide range of non-profit and for-profit organizations with at least 15 employees working in an office in the United States. Participating companies were sent confidential employee-satisfaction surveys and employer-questionnaires to collect information about benefits, compensation, policies, job satisfaction, environmental initiatives, and community outreach programs. The experts at the Best Companies Group then analyzed the results and selected the companies that best enable employees to pursue active lifestyles while also supporting their social and environmental contributions.

This year’s “Best Places To Work” list will highlight not only the Top 100 companies, but will also spotlight those on the list that offer the best perks, including “Fitness-Friendly” companies, those with the “Best Benefits”, and the “Best Social/Environmentally Responsible” organizations. The list will also pinpoint the companies based on location, highlighting the “Best Places To Work” in the West, the Mountains, the Midwest and South, and the Northeast.

Regarding the award Eric Farr, Principal at BrainStorm, said the following. “It’s a wonderful honor to be numbered among such an incredible group of organizations again this year. As a company, we can always provide perks and activities—but we know that it is the amazing people here who ensure that we have a strong and unique culture so that BrainStorm continues to be a 'great place to work'. “

“We’re thrilled to celebrate all 100 of these forward-thinking companies,” says Michael Roberts, Senior Executive Editor of Outside. “They believe success depends on helping their employees live more active and fulfilling lives. The kinds of benefits they’re providing—free fitness classes, flexible hours, subsidized healthy meals, lots of time out of the office—result in a more productive and engaged staff.”

It’s not just any company that can offer its employees both vibrant culture and a rewarding workload. But BrainStorm manages both challenges ably. For them, company culture includes everything from work ethic to mid-day dance-offs, integrity to impromptu rounds of dodge ball. Somewhere in between all the hard work creating the best training tools on the planet and the battles for Halo-master bragging rights, they also find time each month to give back to local and national organizations by way of service projects, donations, events, and more.

Yet, BrainStorm’s work environment isn’t the only award-winning aspect of this high-growth, fast-paced company. Its products have also been recognized across the nation for their features, functionality, benefits, and innovation. At BrainStorm the fun, energetic culture keeps the team fresh for jobs like saving the world from mediocre software use. These team players can attest to the vibrancy of the culture, which offers a great balance of challenge, fun, and fulfillment. Want to join the team?
